Meet Our Relief / Rotating Vets
At Charm City Veterinary Hospital, we’re fortunate to collaborate with a team of talented relief veterinarians who bring diverse experience, genuine compassion, and a shared dedication to outstanding veterinary care. Their rotations at our hospital allow us to see more patients and give each patient the time they deserve.
High Standards Every Time
Whether here regularly or just filling in once a month, each of these doctors plays a key role in helping us deliver the consistent, high-quality service our clients expect.

Dr. Bates
Veterinarian
Dr. Bates was born with a love for all animals, such that by the age of 3, she declared she wanted to be a veterinarian despite not being able to say the word! Dr. Bates has a special interest in feline medicine as well as low-stress handling for our anxious and fearful companions. Dr. Bates enjoys promoting and strengthening the bond we share with our pets and tailors her treatment plans accordingly. Dr. Bates shares her home with 4 cats and 1 dog and frequently you will find her relaxing at home petting or playing with her furry 4-legged companions.

Dr. Durastanti
Veterinarian
Dr. Durastanti—affectionately known as Dr. D—is praised for her expertise, compassion, and thoughtful approach to care. Clients consistently appreciate her willingness to take the time to explain their pet’s health and answer questions, making her a true partner in your pet’s wellness journey. She is transparent about treatment expectations and costs, and always thorough and compassionate in her recommendations. Her calm, gentle demeanor puts pets at ease, making visits less stressful for everyone involved—clients, patients, and staff alike. Dr. D spends time each summer in Italy learning about her roots and immersing herself in her heritage. She is married to a fellow veterinarian, who she shares two children with.

Dr. Gallini
Veterinarian
Dr. Gallini (aka Dr. G) brings a unique blend of experience to our team. He spends the majority of his work days caring for aquatic animals at the National Aquarium, but moonlights as a companion animal veterinarian here with us on select Mondays. Dr. Gallini is known for his kind, grounded, and thorough approach—making him a valued presence for both our staff and the pets he treats.
